About Us

Hi! Jen and Alex here!

First, we want to thank you for visiting our website and we hope that you enjoy it!

A little bit about us:

We are both from New Jersey, but currently live in Michigan. Jen is a veterinary student and has wanted to be a veterinarian since she was about 5 years old. She plans to go into small animal practice, but loves working with exotics too! Alex works with an outdoor design/build company. He has a degree in Landscape Architecture and is working towards his license.

Our Inspiration:

Back in November of 2019, we went to a local animal shelter to drop off donations, and met a spirited little kitten who wiggled her way into our hearts. Her name? Noodle. Noodle was about 4 months old when we adopted her. We have always loved the outdoors and spend much of our time hiking and exploring new places. We wanted to find a way to bring Noodle along with us so that she wouldn’t be alone all day. Plus it is a great way to exercise her and keep her healthy!

After taking her on several hikes, we would always get stopped us and asked how we got her to walk on a leash and not be scared of the outdoors. Many people would tell us that they have never seen a cat out on the trails before. It got us thinking, why do people find it odd to see a cat hiking?

Our Goal:

Our goal is to inspire cat owners to find safe and fun ways to explore the world with their fur friends through building a community that normalizes hiking with your cat. You take your dog hiking with you, why not your cat?
