Meet Cordeilla
Hello, my name is Cordeilla and I am half Mainecoon and half European cat. I live with 2 another cat girls, 2 dogs, horse and my human family in Czech Republic. I am leader of our cat pack, very confident one but also I love my human mom Kate so much that I behave like a dog.
That is also fun fact about me. When my mom calls me I always run to her anywhere I am in that moment, I follow her everywhere and I can do (and like so much to do) sit, lay down and give a paws for my favorite treats. Also when I want food or go for a walk I gently bite my mom to her toes to get her attention.
My mom always had cats since she was little child and they have special place in her heart and she already had cat girl named Aifé at the moment she started to think seriously about adoption second cat from shelter. She had some calls with shelters but there were no cat for a long time right for her. One day she saw little black fluffy kitty in advertisement for adoption and after talking with my birth moms owner she knew that´s it. Two weeks after she came and it was love for the first sight. Since then I am her girl and we do everything together.
Soon my mom started to realize I am very special cat and I really want to be with her everywhere. Also there is very big trust between us so it made her decision easier. Mom saw some Mainecoons going for a walk so she bought harness for cats and try it on me. I was very ok with it so we tried to go in the garden. Still ok. So next day we went to our forest. It is 2 minutes from our house as we live in village surounded by forests. First walk was amazing, I explored everything and I accepted leash very soon. I just wanted to go more with mom. And I love our forest.
When we first time met tractor I was terified but as I saw few more in next weeks I stopped freaking out. Mom gave me confidence telling me I am very good girl and I am good in walking. It is what I like the most. At first walks we had also some treats but right now I enjoy walking and jumping and I don´t need treets and don´t have a time for eat it, there is much more to do like catching things mom throws or climbing or sniffing around.
Right now we are looking forward for more traveling around our country and exploring more places. As I mentioned I like forest the most and also I am lover of water, I love to be in water and maybe I will swim next time when we will be in some good place. So we want to try it. We love places with nature but I am ok with strange dogs and humans also so we can go to our favorite lake beach and be there whole day. I lay down next to my humans and sleep or I am walking around and sniffing or going into the water. I also love to jump on the stones there.
Our extra tip is for a first walks go somewhere calm, not noisy place, forest is super fine for trainings. Be calm and say nice words to your cat a lot. Don´t have too short leash. And give your cat a time to look around and choose way to go.Then start slowly teach and kindly ask to go to your way.
